About Us

Every member of the Quick Paws crew is devoted to providing a fun, safe experience for your pet. We take the time to get to know each member of your furry family individually.  Our goal is to be there for your pets when you’re simply too busy to give them the attention they each deserve.  Quick Paws is fully bonded and insured and our entire staff is trained in American Red Cross Animal First Aid.

Quick Paws is an equal opportunity employer, and we’re always looking for motivated, detail-oriented animal lovers to work with us.  Click here for an application.

Charla for Web Charla lived out of state for only two years before realizing her home Montana truly is the best place on Earth.  She’s thrilled that her dog hiking adventures in 2004 have led to the inspiration of a lifetime.  You can usually find Charla down at ‘The Paw’, loving business ownership and working hard to make Quick Paws the very best there is.  Misha (Best Dog Ever) recently convinced Charla to adopt Idri (“AYE-dree”), who is determined to qualify for Worst Dog Ever. When they’re not busy running the show at Quick Paws, Charla spends her time taking Idri to Good Dog classes at the Humane Society of Western Montana and Misha mentors him on the dog business.  They have high hopes for young Idri, but for now he’d rather chase chickens and steal bagels.

Amelia bio photo Amelia was born one summer evening, not too long ago, after a particularly hot Out to Lunch.  Still in Missoula, Amelia studied Technical Theatre in college where she learned how to wire lights, wrangle actors, and make people sound good.  After school, she spent a year in the big city of Portland.  Although she misses the rain and traffic, she is pleased to be home in these beautiful mountains.  Amelia is thrilled to be Quick Paws’ General Manager and looks forward to meeting all of these wonderful dogs’ humans.
Veda grew up in Ithaca, NY and discovered a passion for exploration and adventure through the careful mentorship of her early childhood dogs, Grendel and Poli. After high school, Veda moved out west to explore more dramatic landscapes and earned her degree in Environmental Studies from Prescott University. Veda enjoys cooking, eating, playing roller derby, teaching new skills to humans and dogs alike, and spending quality outdoor time with her pup, Franny. She is more than excited to put her people and dog skills to work in her role as Quick Paws’ Staff Manager!

Mel is a born and raised Montanan, born in Billings but moved to Missoula to pursue a degree in Organismal Biology. She graduated in 2014 and decided to join the Quick Paws crew due to her love of dogs and an interest in their care. When she’s not running the show as Quick Paws’ Assistant Manager, you can find her hiking or relaxing with her black lab Gunnar!

Michael for web Archer and his human Michael are relatively new to Montana but didn’t come far. North Dakota was home before this, but they longed for adventure and to escape the prairies in search for mountains. Michael enjoys camping, hiking, riding bike, and taking Archer out for a quick walk. If he isn’t doing any of those things he might be out on the mountain roads with his motorcycle. Michael grew up around lots of different pets like cats, dogs, horses, fish, and even a ferret.  He feels right at home with his new doggy friends at Quick Paws, and has recently been promoted to Supervisor.
Cecelia grew up in the Bitterroot Valley on a farm where even the quirkiest animal could find itself at home. Cecelia fulfilled her dream of attending art school in Oregon and her only request for a graduation present when she returned to Montana was: a dog. Luckily, Cecelia came home to a smart, adventurous puppy named Ginger, and the two have been a pair of goofballs ever since. Cecelia loves riding her horse Blossom and she is a dedicated bowhunter.  She’s already mastering the challenges of being Quick Paws’ newest Supervisor!

Michelle 2 for web Michelle is from upstate New York, went to college in Rochester and eventually moved to California withher pet snake Sebastian.  She’s been grooming pets for 25 years and volunteers for humane societies in her spare time.  Michelle recently moved to Missoula with her husband Donny and son Joshua, nearly three and thinks he is the boss!  Michelle is thrilled to be in Montana; it’s been her dream for many years.  Michelle loves hiking, fishing, hunting and camping so Montana is the place to be!  Dreams do come true.

Jude for web 2 Jude’s first experience with dogs was riding the family Labrador as a toddler. He hasn’t been without a dog by his side ever since, though he can no longer ride dogs like horses. Jude was raised near San Francisco. He and his lab Willow were happy to escape cities for the Big Sky Country. Jude will graduate this spring from UM with a degree in Wildlife Biology and a minor in Communications. He enjoys all things outdoors, especially backpacking, camping, and hunting.
Crystal for web Although she grew up in Washington, Crystal was born in Bozeman and Montana has felt like home ever since. She moved back to Missoula in the fall and has been enjoying her time rediscovering why she fell in love with this town. Saturday markets, hiking the M and going down to the river are just a few places you might find her. She is thrilled to be working with animals again and looks forward to her time at Quick Paws.
Jess for web Jess and her best buddy Thor and are no strangers to Montana. With all of the mountains to hike, endless trails to discover, and beautiful clear Lakes to paddle board, they couldn’t ask for a better place to live their simple adventurous lives!  They never miss a day in the sun, and on rainy colder days they like to snuggle up on the couch and watch Star Trek or, more often than not, make both people and dog cookies from scratch!
Julie moved to Montana from Colorado in 2010 and knew that she didn’t want to be anywhere else! She immediately fell in love with Montana’s people, beautiful scenery and endless outdoor opportunity. But something was missing, and she knew she needed a furchild of her own! In 2012, she adopted a wiggly boxer mix named Charlie and they have been inseparable ever since. When she isn’t lovin’ on the dogs at QP, Julie enjoys whitewater rafting, hiking with Charlie, summiting mountain peaks, throwing doggie get-togethers with her friends and exploring new places!
Tannah is the inspiration behind Quick Paws Hiking Company.  She found Charla in New Mexico in 2001, a puppy with boundless energy and a gift for sprinting. Tannah simply wouldn’t settle down without a good romp in the woods with her pals, and so Quick Paws came to be.  Tannah loved to run more than anything in the world, and her enthusiasm for the mountains will forever be missed. Her spirit carries on in our hikes…running circles around us, as always.
